Munich-based cloud PBX provider NFON AG announced this week that it has been named as one of the top ten most innovative companies in Europe in the hosted IP telephony and UCaaS market by the global consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.
In their Frost Radar™: Benchmarking Future Growth Potential report, the consulting and research firm surveyed some 120 companies that operate throughout Europe, including in the British market.
According to their report, analysts measured the selected companies utilizing metrics including scalability of innovation, R&D, product portfolio, leverage of megatrends, customer focus, growth pipeline, vision and strategy, and sales and marketing.
Putting the Report into Context
While every company likes to find itself in the winner’s circle when it comes to analyst reports that can impact their desirability to customers, the Frost Radar's breadth of scope has helped to shine a favorable light on a number areas that NFON AG has shown significant growth in over the past year.
The companies were assessed based on two indices of metrics across multiple markets. The first looked at their growth in the market in terms of how they have improved their place not only against competitors but as far as building out a strong strategy and better serving their customers. The next metric took into account how they have grown out their product in terms of innovation and leading trends in the market. Here, analysts were looking for companies that offer solutions and products that not only meet current customer needs but also exceed expectations to stay ahead of the trends.
"According to the consultants, the companies in the Frost Radar are industry leaders in terms of growth, innovation or both. They are instrumental in leading the industry into the future,” Hans Szymanski, CEO and CFO of NFON AG, said in his statement, noting that,
“To be positioned here among the top ten companies is a confirmation of our success to date and underlines how right our growth strategy is"
By making it into the top ten of companies in the European market, NFON has made an impressive showing that they are decisively competitive in this growing market that has seen an ocean of changes over the past year.
Harnessing the Cloud to Better Serve the Market
To say that 2020 has been a critical year for the IP telephony and UCaaS market, would of course be an understatement.
Even before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the market was already making its transition towards the cloud as many organizations looked to take advantage of the operational and cost advantages of working with a cloud-based service provider.
