Amid the Government COVID-19 UK Lockdown, NFON UK Managing Director, Myles Leach, has announced an online virtual expo event for new and existing channels entitled ‘Smarter Working Now’.
Scheduled for 4th June, Leach says that NFON had been set to attend various physical events over recent months but all had been either cancelled or rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and his event will offer resellers an exciting and timely show that will demonstrate how channels can get their businesses profitable in quick order.
“Resellers are looking for clear advice and direction from vendors on how to bounce back from the lockdown and return to profitable trading once more. We are being supported in this by a number of our key suppliers including Poly, Yealink and Gigaset so delegates will hear from a wide range of companies, not just ourselves.
To date, the reaction from the channels has been extremely positive both from existing partners and potential resellers all keen to get a fast start back in the market and jump ahead on their competitors.”
NFON say they took inspiration for their event from the highly successful UC Today online UC Summit held earlier in the year.

Leach says that large attendances achieved by UC Today worked well with resellers looking to maximise their work schedules.
“Analyst firms have indicated that COVID-19 will likely result in a big take up of hosted telephony, a scenario exampled at the end of April by the Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, stating that there has been two years of digital transformation activity squeezed into the last two months. Microsoft Teams, for example, has provided millions of additional licenses in recent weeks.
It is our view that during the lockdown many companies were caught out and surprised by the lack of headsets and laptops available to facilitate their own employee rollout of home working indicating that very few firms were prepared for this eventuality.
NFON hosted telephony, which is integrated with Microsoft Teams, will further bring ease of use and increased productivity to home workers.”
Leach reminds us that we are living in unprecedented times.
