Neat Center to Provide Complete Meeting Equity

Neat Center aims to fix hybrid meeting equity, giving remote staff clearer sight and sound via Neat Symmetry, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Neat Center meeting equity

Neat has launched Neat Center to improve the view and audio experience of remote participants in meetings.

The Neat Center works with a range of Neat’s video devices to capture in-room meeting participants, whether they are seated, looking at colleagues or at the front of the room.

The result, according to the video device designer Neat, is complete meeting equity for remote participants.

Norma Lovhaugen, Head of Products for Neat, said: "As people move fluidly between the office and remote work, there is a growing challenge for businesses to ensure that everyone is able to participate equally in meetings while delivering the flexibility for employees to work how and where is best for them on any given day.

“Neat Center extends the experience of Neat Symmetry to make sure everyone in the room can be equally seen and heard, elevating the feeling of inclusion for all."

When participants were mostly remote, everyone shared the same view, and they were looking into or around their webcams. Now, with many workers returning to the office, it has created an imbalance in meeting equity as in-office attendees often choose to speak to one another, marginalising remote participants and making it harder for them to see and hear what is being said.

The Neat Center has been designed to solve the imbalance caused by hybrid meetings through Neat’s video devices and Neat Symmetry which effectively frames meeting participants and captures in-office participants and conversations. If someone in the room turns away from the front-of-the-room camera, Neat Center continues to provide remote attendees with high-quality audio-visuals of them.

The Neat Center has a 360° 3x lens camera, 16x omnidirectional mic array, and advanced AI which analyses the room and meeting attendees. The flexible design allows it to be placed wherever it is most needed within a meeting space, including on the table or at the front of the room. For larger spaces, multiple Neat Centers can be deployed to extend the experience. Neat believes that the device works well in conjunction with its Neat Bar Pro, Neat Bar, or Neat Board.

Neat Center is easy to set up and install, only requiring a single network and power cable. It also integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

The Neat Center will be available for pre-order in the summer of 2023 and shipments will begin in the autumn of 2023.
