Biamp has celebrated its upgrading of Thunderbird Global Management School's AV and collaboration technology.
The partnership entailed the AV solution provider collaborating with the Phoenix, Arizona-based institution—which is part of Arizona State University—and Phoenix HT Consultants and Tech Providers, Inc. to modernise 140 classrooms, lecture halls, and collaboration pods across Thunderbird's Phoenix campus.
This process encompassed AV technologies tailored to optimise the learning experience for in-person, remote, and hybrid scenarios.
Mike Grasso, Director of Digital Initiatives, AV and Media at Thunderbird, said:
With the BYOD capabilities of Modena, instructors, students, and guest speakers can all join the same session with whatever devices they’re most comfortable using. By combining Modena’s ease-of-use and flexibility with the outstanding voice pickup capabilities of the Parlé microphones, we’ve created optimal teaching and learning environments for all involved at Thunderbird, whether in-person, remote, or hybrid.”
Thunderbird now employs the Biamp Modena bring-your-own-device (BYOD) solution across its various classrooms and learning spaces. Each area is equipped with Parlé Beamtracking microphones, ensuring consistent capture of speakers' voices even as attendees move around while speaking.
HT Consultants and Tech Providers have also installed Biamp Desono loudspeakers to guarantee exceptional audio clarity. These are complemented by Biamp Tesira DSP technology, which efficiently processes and routes all digital signals to their designated destinations.
“Thunderbird needed an upgraded technology infrastructure to embrace an innovative approach to education and, through Biamp, instructors and students now have technology that provides an extraordinary experience no matter where participants are located,” added Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Biamp.
