Spectrio's digital signage solution has been integrated into Zoom Rooms to convert idle meeting screens into hubs of useful workplace information.
"Enplug for Zoom Rooms" displays company news, visuals, and announcements, seamlessly and automatically bringing essential knowledge to its workers.
Describing itself as a digital signage software and solutions firm, Enplug is Spectrio’s primary content management toolkit for experiences in the workplace and elsewhere.
Christian Armstrong, Director of Business Development of Spectrio, explains how its solution takes advantage of what is essentially dead office space: “Businesses want to get the most out of their technology investments, and they know the screens they use in workplaces for video collaboration have down periods when they’re just blank sheets of expensive digital wallpaper.
Enplug for Zoom Rooms allows users to optimise the investment, by turning these screens into digital signs – pushing out relevant content that connects with and engages employees.”
Enplug's content can include a range of information, including meeting schedules, company announcements, KPI dashboards, employee recognition announcements, and more general news about the company and its industry.
The Enplug solution can now be implemented by integrating the "app-like" software into a user’s Zoom Rooms account. From here, they can set Zoom Rooms to display Enplug’s content streams between active sessions.
The integration can only be accessed by end-users with a Zoom Rooms license and a Zoom Rooms configured location. In total, one Enplug license is required for each screen that it is functioning on.
To get started, Spectrio explains that you will first need to create a Zoom Room. Next, set it to ‘Digital Signage’ and connect it to a content display group from Spectrio’s Enplug content management platform.
Armstrong also spoke about some of the potential benefits offered through its solution:
