Snom Expands Zoom Partnership with Phone Certification

Snom’s Zoom Phone certification for the M500 DECT system boosts reseller reach with wireless office phones, audio and battery life.

Snom Zoom phone certification partnership

The Snom M500 DECT series has been certified by Zoom Phone, which Snom Americas believes will "revolutionise the Zoom Phone resellers channel".

Snom's M500 DECT phone system is unusual for an office phone in that it includes a wireless design, which allows users to move about without being restricted by a phone cord.

By forming this strategic collaboration with Zoom Phone, Snom will benefit from gaining a major sales channel, while Zoom resellers can advertise its feature set to customers.

Shawn Claybolt, President and CFO of 888VoIP, offered his perspective as a distributor: "The Snom M500 DECT system is a game-changer.

"Its certification with Zoom Phone allows distributors to showcase features to the reseller channel and emphasises Snom Americas' commitment to pushing the boundaries of communication technology,

“As distributors, we're excited to offer our reseller customers a product that perfectly blends mobility, clarity, and user-centric design."

As well as being wireless, the Snom M500 also offers users convenience and efficiency through its crystal-clear audio quality, a long battery life, and a range that covers expansive spaces.

Through its integration with Zoom Phone's telephony service offering, it can provide seamless virtual interactions, which Snom says will make it an "invaluable asset" for the Zoom Phone reseller channel.

The pioneer in advanced communication solutions also recognises the importance of the Zoom Phone reseller channel as a major influence in the future of business communication.

By providing its high-quality products, as well as marketing support, Snom is working to drive adoption and expand market acceptance of the reseller channel.

Furthermore, its "efforts surrounding the Snom M500" to the reseller channel reflect its commitment to supporting positive Zoom Phone reseller outcomes.

Marc Magliano, Vice President Channel Business - The Americas at Snom Americas, spoke about the partnership and what it represents: "We are thrilled about this collaboration and the opportunity to showcase the Snom M500 DECT phone at Zoomtopia,

"Our alliance with Zoom and our unwavering focus on the reseller channel emphasize our mission to lead in communication innovation."

The Snom M500 DECT system will be showcased at Zoomtopia in San Jose, California, on October 3rd and 4th, which it has invited all Zoom Phone resellers to view.

Snom has been updating its M-Series for some time. In 2019, it introduced three new DECT handsets to the range, which were reportedly tested using military standards.

This is not the first time a Snom phone has been certified by Zoom Phone. Earlier this year, Zoom Phone certified Snom's D7XX Series VoIP desk phones. The product range was designed to be adaptable for users working in a remote, hybrid, or in-office setting.

At the time, Snom was gaining access to over three million Zoom Phone users. Now, partnering with Zoom represents a market of nearly double that, with Zoom phone announcing it had passed 5.5 million seats in its Q4 2023 results, which is a rise of more than 100 percent year on year.

More recently, Zoom published its Q2 2024 earnings results, which Zoom Phone crossed a major milestone by reaching around half a billion dollars in annualised run rate revenue.
