Earlier this month, Yealink launched its brand-new, Android 13-based A40 Meeting Bar. Designed to offer maximal simplicity and enhanced security, the A40 is fully equipped to bring quality audio and video experiences to small and medium-sized spaces.
In a recent talk with Fuhan Lee, Product Marketing Lead at Yealink, he revealed the must-know details about the new product, explaining how it fits into Yealink's overall portfolio of all-in-one solutions.
One Cable, Simple Deployment
The most prominent trait of the A40 MeetingBar is its simplicity of deployment, specifically it being a 'one cable solution.' In fact, A40 is a one-cable solution in two ways: it has a single CAT5E cable connecting the meeting bar to the touch console, and a single USB-C cable connecting the touch console to the PC.
CAT5E: No More Separate Sign-ins
The CAT5E cable connects A40 to CTP25, the latest version of the Yealink touch console, reducing clutter and simplifying deployment. Effectively, the user gets both power and network connectivity in a single instance, eliminating the need for additional cables.
“This type of connection is more reliable and flexible compared to the typical USB-C one,” Lee notes.
"But even more importantly, it means that one single sign-in (to the touch console) synchronizes the entire system, so there's no need to sign into the bar and console separately," he explains.
USB-C: 3 Desk Cables Combined into 1
The USB-C cable connects the touch console to the PC, yet again uniting several functions into one cable: 4K content sharing, BYOD, and PD charging for the PC.
"Again, this makes for a very easy deployment and a highly user-friendly experience," Lee notes.
User experience gets another boost thanks to the CTP25 touch console's multiple deployment options, offering a choice between a standard desk deployment, a rotatable table mount, and a wall mount.
Enhanced Security with Android 13 and MDEP
A40 is based on Android 13, the latest Android version supporting the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP), ensuring top-notch protection against malicious attacks and data leaks.
"We're proud to be one of the first vendors to offer a meeting bar with MDEP, which can truly promise the security of the device and system," Lee shares.
