Salesforce has released a next-generation conversational AI assistant, “Einstein Copilot,” that can be used in every CRM application.
It has also introduced the Einstein Copilot Studio, which allows organisations to customise their Einstein Copilot to their business needs.
Both Einstein Copilot and Einstein Copilot Studio will utilise the Einstein Trust Layer to protect sensitive data while also enabling businesses to use their data to enhance generative AI responses.
Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, commented on its latest version of Einstein: “The reality is every company will undergo an AI transformation to increase productivity, drive efficiency, and deliver incredible customer and employee experiences.
“With Einstein Copilot and Data Cloud we’re making it easy to create powerful AI assistants and infuse trusted AI into the flow of work across every job, business, and industry. In this new world, everyone can now be an Einstein.”
A Gartner poll found in May this year that 45 percent of executives are investing more in AI, and early adopters are already seeing the benefits.
Mckinsey Global Institute also released a report in July 2023, which supports technological innovations like Einstein Copilot by uncovering that by 2030, 30 percent of work could be automated, accelerated by generative AI.
Einstein Copilot
Einstein Copilot will drive productivity by assisting users with their work, allowing them to input questions using natural language and receive answers based on secure company data from the Salesforce Data Cloud.
Copilot also provides options for actions beyond user queries, like recommended post-call action plans and creating new service knowledge articles.
Einstein Copilot will be able to assist in sales, service, marketing, commerce, developers, tableau, industry-specific uses, and more.
For example, Copilot can be used in sales to research accounts, prepare for meetings, and update information in Salesforce.
It can automatically summarise highlights, display customer sentiment, and show the next steps required based on video calls.
Copilot can also surface specific details from customer calls instead of requiring agents to read through transcripts.
