Neat has launched a new app hub and Neat Board 50, enhancing collaborative experiences for hybrid working teams.
The app hub adds availability to third-party business and entertainment applications on Neat devices, including popular apps like Slack, Miro, Robin, and others.
The Neat Board 50 is an all-in-one collaboration board that offers the latest capabilities, as well as an adaptive platform for hybrid workspaces.
Simen Teigre, CEO and Co-founder at Neat, said: “Innovation never ends. What may have been OK technology-wise for your business and employees yesterday doesn’t quite cut it today.
“That’s why Neat’s on a mission to redefine how people interact over video.
“Neat strips away complexity, providing simpler, more reliable and flexible, faster, forward-thinking devices and experiences so people can keep collaborating, creating and engaging over video like never before.”
Neat pointed to Frost and Sullivan’s 2023 UCC Buyers survey, which found that 49 percent of businesses are using at least two video collaboration platforms, with 21 percent planning to add further solution providers.
A further study found that most employees appreciate hybrid working spaces and “flexible furniture” within the office.
The video communications specialist, Neat, believes that the hybrid working needs of most companies are being met with the “same old rigid solutions” and failing to provide adequate support.
New App Hub
The new app hub enables customers to get the most out of their Neat devices by providing a selection of applications that can improve Neat device and workspace experiences.
Customers can now incorporate various business and entertainment apps on their Neat devices or deploy Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
Apps can be used within the workplace or shared in a Teams or Zoom meeting on another device, bringing these tools into a collaborative setting and facilitating more effective creativity and teamwork.
Katie Steigman, Director of Product at Slack, commented: “Our customers are increasingly using Slack Huddles to quickly and informally connect in real-time with colleagues, no matter where they are.
“We’re excited to see how Neat uses the huddles experience to provide hybrid teams with better ways to move work forward efficiently.”
The app hub will be available in the third quarter of 2023 via Neat Pulse, a cloud-based subscription offering that will become generally available from July 31, 2023.
In January 2023, Neat announced it would release Neat Pulse in the spring so it is looking like it will just make that release timeframe.
Neat Pulse allows you to choose, manage, and monitor the applications that your organisation chooses.
