Microsoft has partnered with local operators to offer Teams customers in India the option to implement Teams cloud calling.
New Teams Phone solutions are now generally available via Airtel, Tata Communications, and Tata Tele Business Services.
The new partner offerings provide Teams customers in India with provisioning, easy to manage solutions, local support and billing, full-featured calling, and compliance with local regulators.
In a blog post, Microsoft announced its new partnerships and access to Teams calling capabilities for these customers:
“Microsoft has partnered with local operators to give Teams customers with operations in India additional choice to enable calling capabilities in Teams.
“We are excited to share that new Teams Phone-powered solutions from Airtel, Tata Communications Limited, and Tata Tele Business Services are now generally available.
“Leveraging the Operator Connect platform, these three operators have developed and will sell and support full-featured telephony solutions for Teams users in India, in compliance with local market regulations.”
Teams Cloud Calling Features
Teams customers in India will be able to connect to their operator’s PSTN services within minutes and add cloud-calling capabilities to their teams, without any additional software or hardware required.
They will benefit from a simple to manage calling application with monitoring, automated system optimisation, and an admin console.
When it comes to support and billing, customers can connect with their local operators who will have an expert understanding of the Indian market within which you are operating.
All the Teams Phone voice features will be available to this new customer group, including call queues, auto attendants, voicemail, call park, call transfer, and more.
The Teams calling capabilities are designed to meet local compliance regulations in India.
