Logitech's Sight AI camera has been certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms.
Logitech Sight is an AI-powered companion camera with intelligent multi-participant framing. It is the first intelligent camera to be certified by Teams as a centre-of-table camera that complements front-of-room video bars. It is also the first Panoramic Camera to be certified for Zoom Rooms.
Prakash Arukundrum, Chief Operating Officer at Logitech, said:
We know that the AI-driven audio and video features are great, but also recognize that IT leaders are having to outfit increasingly complex room configurations. Sight is now shipping to customers who’ve been looking for a solution that not only improves meeting equity, but is easy to set up and now certified with the video calling platforms people use every day."
Streamlined management is overseen by Logitech Sync, a complimentary software that allows device monitoring, updates, and troubleshooting through a cloud-based interface. Logitech Sight is backwards compatible with Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini, empowering IT teams with the confidence to seamlessly integrate this new technology with their current video bars.
Logitech Sight is available globally with an MSRP of $1,999 via authorized distributors and the Logitech website.
What is the Logitech Sight's Feature Set?
Logitech Sight employs advanced technology to capture the tabletop experience effectively. Utilizing two 4K cameras, computer vision, and onboard AI, the system ensures a comprehensive visual representation. The audio quality is enhanced through the integration of seven beamforming microphones strategically designed to cover medium to large rooms and function as an additional microphone pod.
Additionally, Logitech Sight leverages proprietary AI noise suppression, a distinctive feature that identifies and captures the active speaker, prioritizing and amplifying their voice amidst other ambient noises within the room.
Sight employs a dual approach by incorporating audio and voice-based AI, namely RightSight and RightSound. These technologies work collaboratively to identify and frame multiple active speakers within a room. As the conversation evolves, Sight dynamically replaces the framed individuals, ensuring an inclusive experience for remote participants conversing with their in-office colleagues in hybrid work environments.
The integration of tabletop cameras alongside front-of-room cameras represents a relatively recent development in the industry. Sight simplifies the utilization of hybrid-friendly meeting layout features, such as Microsoft Teams' dynamic view, and is expected to be compatible with Zoom Smart Gallery in the future.
This versatility means that IT teams can confidently deploy smart room technology, knowing it will align with the dynamic requirements of their evolving hybrid workforce. Logitech's commitment to cross-platform compatibility underscores its dedication to designing flexible and frictionless experiences, benefiting both IT professionals and end users alike.
Logitech Sight has achieved carbon-neutral certification, and the plastic components in the product incorporate certified post-consumer recycled plastic, comprising 50 percent for white variants and 59 percent for graphite variants. This approach intends to extend the life of plastic from discarded consumer electronics, reducing Logitech's carbon footprint.
