Lightware and Genelec have partnered on a new integration to empower organisations with greater AV control.
The leading audio vendor, Genelec, is collaborating with the connectivity solutions business, Lightware, to integrate the Lightware Automated Room Automation (LARA) platform with Genelec’s Smart IP PoE loudspeaker ecosystem.
By allowing system integrators and AV professionals to seamlessly integrate Genelec Smart IP loudspeakers and subwoofers with Lightware products, both businesses stress that users gain precise control over critical audio functions like power management, volume control, and mute functions. This solution is described as being especially beneficial in corporate settings where audio quality and ease of use are crucial, eliminating the need for third-party control systems.
Gergely Vida, CEO of Lightware, commented:
Genelec's position as the industry standard in professional loudspeaker solutions aligns perfectly with Lightware's mission to deliver best-in-class AV connectivity. This technology integration delivers a complete solution that meets the highest standards of audio quality and control in professional environments."
Genelec and Lightware outline that the new driver streamlines the setup and configuration process while enabling real-time monitoring of loudspeaker status. It offers essential information like firmware version, zone ID, and heartbeat. It also supports the loading and configuration of custom acoustic profiles, aiming to ensure optimal audio performance in any setting.
The identification function allows users to locate specific loudspeakers in a multi-loudspeaker setup by triggering a 20-second LED blink for easy troubleshooting.
