Lenovo and EPOS hardware and services partnership

Lenovo and EPOS have partnered to deliver "future hardware, software and services" to support excellent audio experiences in the hybrid work era.

The partnership entails EPOS becoming Lenovo's global audio partner for PC audio accessories. The shared ambition is to jointly developing hardware, software and services that provide professional audio solutions and create PC and audio ecosystems for enhanced engagement and productivity.

Eric Yu, SVP Worldwide Small and Medium Business Segment and Commercial Product Center at Lenovo IDG, commented:

Lenovo is committed to providing smart devices and solutions that enable people to work smarter and collaborate better in the hybrid world. With Lenovo and EPOS’ expertise in audio technology, we can deliver high-quality audio solutions that meet the needs of professional users who demand clear communication, seamless collaboration and optimal productivity."

The partnership has initially manifested in the shared release of Lenovo EPOS headsets certified for Teams and Zoom, intending to support professionals in hybrid work environments. They are also optimised for other UC platforms and showcase EPOS's trademark sound quality and comfort.

The Lenovo Wired VOIP Headset and Lenovo Wired ANC Headset Gen 2 professional headsets have the same form factor design and include an inline call control box for ease of use. The USB-C plug can connect to any PC, and the ear cups improve user comfort. The latter also utilises Active Noise Cancellation, providing an advanced audio experience without the distraction of ambient noise.

"At EPOS, we're committed to designing audio and video solutions that unleash human potential," said Jeppe Dalberg-Larsen, President at EPOS. "Embarking on this venture with Lenovo will help us continue to deliver on this commitment, expand our offering and reach new heights for communication and collaboration experiences. I'm very much looking forward to this new chapter of our partnership."

Furthermore, EPOS's portfolio will be included in Lenovo's third-party offering programme, granting customers a comprehensive selection of audio devices from a single source.

What Else Has Lenovo Been Up To Recently?

In June, Lenovo launched a standalone collaboration device for Microsoft Teams hybrid work environments. With a 27-inch multi-touch display at its centre, premium video and audio capabilities, and built-in compute power, the ThinkSmart View Plus is an all-in-one device intending to enhance productivity and collaboration.

Featuring a tailored Microsoft Teams Display experience with extra security features, the ThinkSmart View Plus offers users access to Teams chat, calendar, and files while also allowing them to join meetings directly from the device.

Last year, Lenovo and AVer teamed up to produce a hybrid meeting room connectivity solution certified for Teams.

The solution encompassed the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core and Controller, as well as two camera options from AVer for varying room sizes, including the VB130 for small rooms and the VC520 Pro2 for medium to large rooms. The plug-and-play bundles provide seamless collaboration between business meeting spaces and remote offices.

UC Today recently caught up with Lenovo and AVer to discuss what prompted AVer and Lenovo to partner on producing hybrid working solutions, how Lenovo and AVer’s partnership enhances the MTR experience, and how the partnership addresses the evolving needs of businesses in the hybrid working era.

What About EPOS?

Last month, Airtame partnered with EPOS by complementing Airtame’s hybrid conferencing platform with EPOS’s audio and video services to produce “flawless” hybrid meetings around the globe.
