Remote work is probably the hottest topic right now for both the advantages and disadvantages it offers. So naturally, there is a demand for a technological component in society that makes the lives of remote workers a lot simpler. Go Communicator for metaswitch, developed in conjunction with Metaswitch, is one such solution and the company's just released a new version. I caught up with the company's that's produced the software and learned more about the latest capabilities of the unified communications tool.
In an interview with UC Today, Mondago's North American Director of Sales, Chris Bloom, told me more about Go Communicator for metaswitch and its tie into Max UC by Metaswitch. Go Communicator for metaswitch gained several new capabilities recently. In the new version of 'Go Communicator for metaswitch,' when you log into MaX UC, it now goes into companion mode, meaning the client determines which device you're using as your primary device (i.e. a softphone, handset, etc.)
One of the differences in the latest version is that it ties in the company's over 200 CRM integrations into the Max UC client, including Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Also the ability to let users access advanced click to dial out of a variety of browser types, and caller ID preview functionalities.

Now so, more than six weeks ago, there is a greater need for softphones. Scaling up to the numbers we're experiencing presently would have been previously more challenging to achieve. Today that process is a lot simpler, "And it creates a more seamless experience for the end-user," Bloom added. He continued, telling me, it should be easy to power on a client and a softphone and have the two connect with no effort. "This simplifies the experience for everyone including partners," which Bloom said, is one of the many selling points of the intelligent CTI client.
The company stumbled upon something great back in 2018 when it paired with Metaswitch. Mondago handles the CRM integration side of things, and Metaswitch takes care of the advanced telephony side of the partnership, creating a combination of technology that is valuable for every business.
