Mitel and Deutsche Telekom have partnered to empower the channel with a shared communications solution, "Unify X powered by Telekom".
Unify X powered by Telekom is a bundle which combines Mitel's Unify communications and collaboration offering with Telekom's broadband portfolio.
Deutsche Telekom emphasises that its service addresses the increasing demand for hosted or cloud-based PBX (Private Branch Exchange) systems. This trend is driven by companies seeking flexible and cost-effective solutions to connect their employees, including those working remotely. The cloud PBX service offers several advantages, including reduced hardware requirements and simplified integration for remote work, making it an attractive option for modern businesses.
Christian Jessel, Head of DACH at Mitel, said:
This new step reinforces the strong relationship between Deutsche Telekom and Mitel. By making Unify X powered by Telekom available to the channel community, we broaden our common market reach through the resellers sales force and enable more customers and partners to benefit from a UC solution that already proved to be successful and relevant on the market.”
Mobile phone numbers and home office connections can be seamlessly integrated into virtual systems. This allows employees to make calls from any location under their usual conditions. As the company expands, new locations can be effortlessly added, and the number of connections can scale accordingly.
Additionally, companies using Unify telephone systems can easily transition to the new cloud-based system, avoiding complex migration projects. Furthermore, employees are already familiar with the basic functions, ensuring a smooth transition.
"With these two strong brands, partners and business customers can rely on future-proof virtual telephone systems together with an excellent network and first-class service," added Michael Müller-Berg, responsible for the B2B partner business at Telekom Deutschland.
Telekom and Mitel support their joint activities with a range of comprehensive support measures, including sales qualifications, technical training, and assistance in creating and conceptualising offers.
