Facebook has lost its Vice President for Workplace from Facebook, with the productivity and collaboration suite now called Workplace from Meta after the recent company name change.
Julien Codorniou, who was London-based, has moved to venture capital firm Felix Capital, and will remain in London.
He had been VP for Workplace for over five years, as part of an 11-year career at the social media and advertising giant.
In a LinkedIn update, the Frenchman said: “I’ve decided to leave the company and to embark on new challenges. 11 years working for the same company is a very long time in tech and I could not be more grateful for everything Meta has given me
“I had the privilege to work with amazing mobile and gaming developers around the world, and more recently, to build and grow a SaaS business inside Facebook with Workplace from Meta.”
Codorniou added:
“I have always loved spending time with entrepreneurs or other investors and having some 'skin in the game', and a few years ago, like many FB vets, I started investing in tech startups"
“I now want to do that job more professionally and learn from people who have more experience, and who do what I’ve been doing on a much bigger scale.”
