Vonage has appointed the former Avaya and Bandwidth executive Anthony Bartolo as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Bartolo’s responsibilities as COO include leading corporate strategy and technology, increasing the company’s market share, and improving its standing within the UCaaS, CCaaS, CPaaS, and Network API sectors.
The global leader in cloud communications, Vonage, revealed that Bartolo will begin working in the role with immediate effect.
Niklas Heuveldop, Vonage CEO and Head of Business Area Global Communications Platform for Ericsson, showed his support for Bartolo taking up the post:

Meet Anthony Bartolo
According to Vonage, Bartolo brings with him 30 years of experience within the industry scaling businesses, implementing strategies, and inspiring teams to achieve high growth levels.
Bartolo joins Vonage from Bandwidth, where he also worked as COO, and before that, he worked as Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Avaya.
While at Avaya, Bartolo led the business communications service provider’s transition to use a SaaS enterprise model, which resulted in ‘significant’ customer wins and an 11 times increase in annual recurring revenue.
Bartolo has also served in a number of executive roles at Tata Communications, such as President of Mobility and Chief Product Officer. Here, he successfully designed and introduced an enhanced product strategy, led the company’s expansion into new markets, forged strategic partnerships, and increased its geographical footprint.
Vonage describes Bartolo as active within the global tech community, having also served on various boards in organizations around the globe throughout his career.
