PPDS Q-SYS plugin for Philips displays

PPDS (Philips Professional Display Solutions) has launched a plugin to connect the Q-SYS platform with its displays.

Philips digital signage, interactive displays, and All-in-One LED walls designed on Android SoC can now be integrated into the Q-SYS platform via the plugin.

Q-SYS provides users with cloud-manageable audio, video, and control capabilities, while the Dutch technology company Philips offers “power” and “versatility”.

Both Philips and Q-SYS are reportedly aligned on their key target market, which includes corporate, education, government, transport, public venues, hospitality, and more.

Sian Rees, Global Director of Solutions and Partnerships at PPDS, explained why the company is happy to partner with Q-SYS: “The Q-SYS plugin for Philips Professional Displays leverages the power of our API-first Wave platform, allowing customers to control our range of smart Philips Professional Displays, including digital signage, interactive, and all-in-one LEDs, with the same reliable, easy-to-integrate interface."

At PPDS we operate an ‘Open2’ philosophy, working with third party providers and partners to ensure we are offering the perfect harmony of software and hardware, delivering best-in-class user experiences."

“We’re delighted to be working with Q-SYS to bring even greater choice and value to the market.”

PPDS Wave Plugin for Q-SYS

To give it its proper name, the PPDS Wave Plugin for Q-SYS enables major programmer benefits, such as accelerating integrations and simultaneously enhancing and streamlining user experiences through its component management within a single interface.

Its display management also allows users to access detailed display information and control settings like volume, power, brightness, input source, and orientation to guarantee total customisation and oversight capabilities.

Secure cloud connection and real-time status monitoring ensure the safe running of AV systems.

The Farm, the official development partner for Q-SYS plugins, is supporting the new plugin, which is now available through the A-SYS Designer Asset Manager. It is compatible with PPDS Wave-ready Philips Android SoC displays.

These displays include the Philips Signage 3000 Series (Q-Line), Philips Signage 4000 Series (D-Line), and Philips Interactive (T-Line), and others.

Philips is currently offering customers live demos of its integration of the Q-SYS plugin into its studio network, such as the recently opened North America Master Showroom and PPDS Studio NYC Metro.

Geno Zaharie, Principal, Alliances & Ecosystem, Q-SYS, added his support to the partnership:

We are proud of our collaboration with PPDS to create a plugin integration that will enable elevated experiences across our shared customers.”

In July this year, Philips Speech and Sembly AI launched new audio recorders with built-in AI meeting technology.

The intelligent audio recorders can provide automatic recording transcriptions, summaries, action lists, and insights.

Leading voice technology innovator Philips Speech by Speech Processing Solutions partnered with the voice and conversation analytics company Sembly AI to add a total of three new products to its audio recorder range.

Q-SYS Reflect Expands Reach

Earlier this month, Q-SYS introduced Q-SYS Reflect into countries across eastern Europe, which brings the total number of countries with access to the solution to 35.

Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia are the latest countries to receive Q-SYS Reflect, joining the 25 countries that already have it.

The audio, video, and control platform, Q-SYS, describes Q-SYS Reflect as an “intrinsic” part of the Q-SYS Platform.

The remote management and monitoring solution for AV systems uses Q-SYS technology to offer visibility and control of all AV devices in your setup.
