Logitech has unveiled its first foldable mouse – a device designed to support professionals working across multiple locations and devices.
The new Mobi Fold and Mobi Fold for Business were announced this week as the company seeks to address what it describes as an "On-the-Go Productivity Gap" among modern workers.
According to Logitech research cited in the launch, while 72 percent of professionals own a computer mouse, only 26 percent regularly use one when working in public spaces.
The company argues that portability remains a major barrier for employees who split their time between offices, homes, airports, hotels, and other temporary work environments.
As hybrid and flexible working models continue to reshape workplace technology requirements, vendors are increasingly focusing on accessories that can travel easily without compromising functionality.
"For a long time, people have left their mice behind simply because they were a hassle to carry around, not because they didn't want to use one," said Joseph Mingori, VP and General Manager at Logitech.
"With Mobi Fold, we have engineered a frictionless transition between the dedicated desk and working on the move. By delivering a comfortable, productive experience that collapses to nearly half its size – and reduces muscle strain by 22 percent compared to a laptop trackpad – we ensure a professional setup is a constant, not a compromise."
Designed for Work Beyond the Desk
The launch reflects broader changes in how and where work takes place.
As organisations continue to support hybrid work arrangements, employees increasingly rely on portable devices and accessories that can be quickly deployed in different environments.
While laptops remain central to mobile productivity, many workers continue to prefer external peripherals for tasks requiring precision, navigation, and extended use.
Logitech's answer is a mouse that folds flat for transport and automatically powers on when opened and off when closed.
Among the key features are Adaptive Touch Scrolling, two programmable buttons, and multi-device Bluetooth connectivity. Users can connect the mouse to as many as three devices simultaneously and switch between them as needed.
The device supports Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux, reflecting the increasingly diverse technology environments found across enterprises and remote workforces.
For users working in shared spaces such as coffee shops, coworking locations, libraries, or airport lounges, Logitech has also incorporated quiet-click technology designed to minimise disruption to nearby colleagues and other users.
