Zoom is enhancing its AI Companion capabilities across its entire platform, including Zoom Meetings, Zoom Team Chat, Zoom Docs, Zoom Phone, Zoom Whiteboard, Zoom Contact Center, and industry-specific solutions. These advancements introduce new AI agentic skills, agents, and models designed to deliver high-quality outcomes, boost productivity, and foster stronger user relationships.
Smita Hashim, Chief Product Officer at Zoom, commented:
AI Companion is evolving from a personal assistant to being truly agentic, which signals a major leap forward in how AI can enhance productivity and collaboration at work. We’re delivering value for our customers through AI agents and agentic skills that solve real customer problems, helping them connect, collaborate, and get more done, all within the Zoom platform our users trust and love."
Zoom’s AI Companion is advancing to manage complex, multi-step tasks using reasoning, memory, and orchestration to make decisions, solve problems, and complete actions efficiently.
New skills include calendar management for easier scheduling, clip generation for quick video creation, and advanced writing assistance to streamline document development.
Zoom AI Companion will still be included at no extra cost for customers with paid services as part of their Zoom user accounts.

Zoom outlines that Tasks will automatically detect and manage action items from meeting summaries, chats, and emails, completing tasks like scheduling follow-ups or generating documents. Tasks can be tracked in a new Zoom Workplace tab or embedded into Zoom Docs. The launch is expected by the end of March.
Meeting Agendas will launch in May, offering templates and content recommendations based on recent agendas. Hosts can add timers to agenda sections, receive AI-generated live notes during meetings, and share summaries and action items afterwards. Live Notes for Meetings and Phone will also launch in May. It will provide real-time summaries to help participants stay on track, follow the agenda, and track updates live.
AI Companion for Zoom Phone now offers voicemail summaries and supports Zoom within Microsoft Teams, enabling AI-generated call summaries and task prioritisation from voicemails. A new voice recorder for the Zoom Workplace mobile app, expected in late March, will transcribe, summarise, and capture action items from in-person conversations, aiming to eliminate the need for manual note-taking.
