Crestron has announced two new products for meeting rooms worldwide: the DM NAX Intelligent Audio platform and the 1 Beyond i12D intelligent camera.
The company says both are designed to make professional audio and video easier to deploy and manage in everyday spaces, from small huddle rooms to large boardrooms.
“Hybrid meetings have made it painfully clear that audio and video can’t be an afterthought," said Joel Mulpeter, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Crestron.
"With DM NAX Intelligent Audio and the 1 Beyond i12D, we’re giving organisations a simple, scalable way to deploy crystal-clear audio and engaging, intelligent video in the rooms people use every day so AI assistants hear every word, remote participants stay engaged, and IT teams aren’t buried in complexity.”
Crestron also emphasises digital signal processing tools such as acoustic echo cancellation, automatic gain control and noise reduction. The platform tracks who is speaking through “direction of arrival” audio.
It is optimised for Microsoft Copilot to support accurate AI transcription and voice tools.
Intelligent Multi‑Camera Video in One Unit
The 1 Beyond i12D camera combines three 4K cameras in a single enclosure.
Two PTZ lenses with 12x optical zoom capture detailed speaker shots. A wide‑angle lens covers the whole room. Built‑in microphones detect who is speaking, and onboard visual AI manages framing, tracking and composition.
Users can switch between picture‑in‑picture and conversation mode. The system can also coordinate with up to four additional 1 Beyond cameras. This avoids the need for external control systems.
Reference audio can be brought in through AES67 or analogue inputs to make speaker tracking more accurate.
The i12D supports USB‑C, HDMI and RTSP streaming. It also holds certifications for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.
These options make it suitable for both standardised conferencing systems and Bring‑Your‑Own‑Device (BYOD) environments.
Crestron positions both DM NAX and the i12D within a larger ecosystem that includes the 80 Series Touch Screens, Collab Compute as an AI‑ready core, and AutoMeasure for automated video calibration.
The idea is to give integrators a suite of validated, plug‑and‑play tools that cut down installation work and improve consistency across many rooms.
A Market Accelerating Around Hybrid Work
The timing of Crestron’s launch coincides with strong growth in the conference room solutions market.
According to a Credence Research report, the market is projected to grow from approximately $1.53 billion in 2024 to $ 4.63 billion by 2032.
Another report estimates a growth of grow from $1.79 billion in 2024 to $6.40 billion by 2032.
Organisations increasingly value tools that automate tasks and make meetings easier to follow, including automated framing, real‑time transcription and room scheduling features.
