I sat down with Jack Chen, CEO, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, who told me about the Connex21 virtual. The event, aimed at ALE partners, featured over 2,100 Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise partners and industry analysts from all over the world.
Chen noted that the event was a platform for the organization to outline its strategy for 2021. Chen said that it got used to discuss the company's core business objectives and to define its product roadmap, too. "This year was the first time that we hosted a Connex event virtually," Chen said. The event was largely focused on how last year was a game-changer for the industry and how we can bounce back in 2021.
What did I miss?
According to Chen, all the sessions went well. He brought it to my attention that at Connex21 company executives hosted dedicated sessions to share ALE’s customer focus. Many of the sessions also highlighted how solutions get built to specification and tailored to meet customer needs. He said that they also wanted to demonstrate the impact of the organization's innovations in vertical markets at this year's event.
"Product specialists presented the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise roadmap for new solutions, which get designed to support partners in solving business issues and driving growth for customers"
Chen said they spoke in detail about how Alcatel-Lucent will support its partner community in 2021 to help customers to grow with cloud solutions, noting:
"One key aspect I pointed out to our delegates is that 2020 was a year of monumental change. The way we work is different, and some of those changes will stay with us."
He called this a crisis - one that pointed out something good - however, the crucial need for digital transformation. "Technology enables businesses to generate revenue, to retain staff, and to keep going in very challenging conditions." He continued, sayings that technology also helps us adapt and establish ways to grow. Chen noted that the event's format proved to be effective for attendees.
"Moving Connex21 to a virtual setting was not without its challenges. However, we have an excellent team, and careful planning and coordination ensured it was a great success. I am incredibly proud of everyone who played a part in executing Connex21."
