Gammaverse 2026: The Channel Shift Beyond Legacy Revenue

Gamma used its flagship partner event, Gammaverse 2026, to announce a Sky Business Wholesale partnership for FibreXchange and a 100,000-user Webex milestone. The wider message for partners was that growth will depend on tailored support, practical technology choices and trusted relationships

Gamma Communications used Gammaverse 2026 to make a clear argument to its UK partner community: the communications market is changing, but sustainable growth will depend on more than adding new products to a portfolio.

The event at London’s QEII Centre brought together announcements across connectivity, customer experience, AI and security, alongside a wider strategy centred on helping partners address changing customer needs. The main message was that technology choice matters – but so do the relationships, expertise and operational support that help partners turn that choice into commercial value.

That emphasis on practical delivery ran throughout the day.

Will Morey, Managing Director of Gamma Business, told attendees that trust remains fundamental to the relationship between Gamma, its partners and end customers.

“Those customers trust your advice, your expertise, and your judgment, and in turn, you trust us – and we take that trust really seriously.”

He added that trust could not be treated as a one-time achievement. “We know and understand that trust isn’t something we win once and keep. It’s earned every day.”

More Connectivity Choice, Without More Complexity

The event’s most tangible connectivity announcement was Gamma’s new partnership with Sky Business Wholesale, which will bring Sky FTTP into the FibreXchange platform.

For partners, the move expands the connectivity options available through a single ordering and support journey. At a point when network choice is growing, the proposition is to give partners access to a wider range of services without creating additional supplier complexity.

Sam Weller, Director, Sky Wholesale Services, said: “As businesses modernise their connectivity and adopt fibre, partners need suppliers that combine network scale, innovation and expert support. We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Gamma, bringing Sky Business Wholesale’s broadband and Ethernet capabilities to Gamma’s partners and the wider channel community, helping them unlock new growth opportunities and deliver better outcomes for their customers.”

The partnership also reflects a wider theme at Gammaverse: connectivity remains a critical foundation for the services partners are increasingly being asked to deliver. Customer experience, AI and cloud communications may be high on the agenda, but reliable and flexible connectivity still underpins the technologies customers depend on.

Gamma also highlighted 10Gb Ethernet as part of its broader connectivity developments, reinforcing the need for partners to consider how network requirements are changing alongside the services they sell on top.

Webex Milestone Signals Scale of Adoption

Gammaverse also marked a milestone in Gamma’s cloud communications strategy. Cisco named Gamma the world’s largest Webex Wholesale Provider, with 100,000 active users on the Webex Wholesale platform at Webex One in Austin, Texas the day before.

The figure comes 12 months after the official launch of Webex for Gamma and points to the scale of channel adoption around the platform.

For partners, the significance is not simply user numbers. The market is moving away from discrete technology decisions and towards conversations about broader business outcomes. Customers are looking for support with productivity, customer experience and operational performance, rather than approaching communications, AI and connectivity as entirely separate purchases.

That creates an opportunity for partners to build more strategic relationships, but it also requires them to make choices about where they can add value. Not every partner will pursue the same route to growth, and Gamma’s leadership team repeatedly returned to the importance of support that reflects different business models.

John Murphy, CEO of Gamma Business, described the challenge directly: “Our proposition to you needs to be more tailored, not more generic.”

From Technology Roadmaps to Practical Growth

Gamma outlined nine launches and developments across its portfolio, including AI Concierge, Webex CX, Horizon CX powered by Daktela, cybersecurity capabilities, Sky on FibreXchange and 10Gb Ethernet.

The breadth of the portfolio was matched by a push to make those opportunities more practical for partners. Colin Lees, CTO at Gamma, said the business had responded to partner feedback with a focus on accelerating product development and helping partners create joined-up customer solutions.

“You told us you wanted better products faster so that you can build end-to-end solutions for your customers,” Lees said.

The message reflects a market in which the technology itself is only part of the proposition. Partners also need specialist support, commercial guidance and the confidence to have outcome-led conversations with customers.

That was the purpose behind sessions including the Winner’s Playbook, which focused on how partners can identify opportunities, package propositions and move from market discussion to action. Gamma also used the day to showcase improvements across partner systems, APIs, service management and data-led tools intended to help identify new commercial opportunities.

Specialist Support for Different Growth Journeys

The Gammaverse breakout programme made the case that one size will not fit all.

Sessions covered migration, Cyber Essentials, AI adoption, connectivity and selling to the public sector, while the Experience Zone gave attendees the chance to speak directly with Gamma specialists and technology providers.

The event’s format acknowledged that growth will come from different places for different businesses.

This was reinforced by a partner discussion featuring Focus and Flotek, which explored the realities of developing and scaling a business. Their differing journeys underlined a central point from the day: Gamma’s role is not to prescribe a single growth model, but to provide the technology, operational capability and support that fit the strategies partners are already pursuing.

Different Thinking, Shared Ambition

Outside the technology agenda, guest speaker Rory Sutherland brought a different perspective to the question of differentiation.

“Sometimes it’s better to be different than it is to be better,” he said, challenging businesses to look beyond conventional measures, familiar approaches and price-based competition.

That idea connected with the event’s broader theme. As the channel navigates a more complex technology market, partners may need to think differently about their customer relationships, their specialisms and the value they can provide.
